1. Who we are

promdriz (“we”, “us”) is a quiz app for friends, operated by EMEF EMPIRE GmbH, Wandsbeker Königstraße 35, 22041 Hamburg, Germany. Questions about this policy: support(at)promdriz.com.

2. Age requirement: 13+

promdriz is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or play.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has given us personal information, write to us at the address above. We will delete the account and the associated data promptly. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we delete it.

We do not ask for real names, phone numbers, home addresses or photos. Please choose a username that does not reveal your real name.

3. What we collect

Account

Username or guest name, password (stored only as a one-way hash), avatar, optional email address, optional school (high school or college), optional Instagram and TikTok handle with a switch for showing it publicly, time of sign-up and last activity.

Gameplay

Matches with your opponent, chosen categories, questions asked, your answers, response times, results and timestamps. Friend marks, and which questions you have already seen.

Notifications

If you allow push notifications: the technical address of your device at your browser's push service, and whether the app is installed. Separately, you can opt in to news and promotions in Settings. We then store your consent and send occasional updates. With notifications allowed you also get at most one evening reminder when your daily streak is about to end. You can switch both off at any time in Settings.

Contact form

Name, email address, subject and message, and your account if you are signed in.

Technical data

Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, including your IP address. To prevent abuse we briefly store a counter per IP address for sign-ins, sign-ups and contact messages. For statistics on shared links we store the source, country and device type without your IP address; if you are signed in, the visit is linked to your account until you delete it.

4. How we use it

Run the game: accounts, matches, rankings, school leaderboards

Security and fair play: prevent abuse, spam and cheating, keep the service stable

Communicate: password and email confirmation messages, replies to your contact requests, push notifications you asked for

Improve: anonymous usage statistics

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not show ads based on your activity.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential cookies and no advertising or tracking cookies.

pq_session: keeps you signed in, 180 days

pq_lang: remembers your language, 1 year

pq_school: remembers a school from an invite link, 30 days, deleted when you join

6. Who we share data with

Only with service providers needed to run the app, under contracts that limit their use of the data:

Vercel: hosting and delivery, plus Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics without cookies

Supabase: database for account and gameplay data

Brevo (email): sending emails such as confirmation codes and contact replies

We keep content such as questions and the school list in Google Sheets. No player personal information is sent there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of players and of the service.

7. What other players see

Your username, avatar and results are visible to opponents and in rankings. Your profile page and your school membership are shown publicly only if you switch public profile on in Settings. Guests and private profiles do not appear on public school pages.

8. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

On deletion we anonymize your profile: name, email, password, social handles, school membership and push subscriptions are removed, as are friend marks and open matches. Finished matches remain without your name so your opponents' results stay consistent.

Accounts with no activity for one year are deleted. We announce this 30 days before by email if an email address is on file. Abuse counters and confirmation codes are removed automatically after hours to a few days.

9. Your choices and rights

You can view and change your profile, turn notifications on or off, and delete your account in Settings. You can also write to us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.

Residents of California and some other states have additional rights, including to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by those laws. To use your rights, contact us at the address in section 1.

10. Security

Passwords are stored as hashes, data travels over encrypted connections, and the database is not directly reachable from the browser. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong, unique password.

11. Where data is processed

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

12. Changes

We will post changes here and update the date above. For material changes we will tell you in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
